As if the success of Broders, Gus and Jules in their respective Marathons wasn't amazing enough, all here are delighted to learn that DDMT Fundraiser Hannah Macinnes, another runner pounding the streets of London yesterday, is going to donate half the funds she raises to the DDMT.
Hannah writes on 22nd April 2013:
"Yesterday I ran the London marathon. Today I'm having trouble walking and am a few toe nails down but absolutely elated to have done it!! In fact I don't think I have ever felt such complete euphoria as I did when crossing the finish line.
I won't lie, I think I stopped loving it after mile 8 (!!) but the atmosphere is simply amazing, the crowds - incredible and it is without doubt their amazing support that carries you through.
I also thought to myself along the way, how fleeting and secondary whatever pain I felt was in comparison to the very real pain and suffering felt by the soldiers and families who DDMT supports."
Anyone who has witnessed the runners on their way will know what an incredible amount of work, training and effort go into this marathon achievement. A HUGE thank you to Hannah! It is not too late to sponsor - please go to Hannah's Fundraising Page.
