1 April 2014 SOE Talk - Highlanders' Museum Fort George

The Highlanders' Museum Fort George was the magnificent setting for the first of Gilly Halcrow's talks on the SOE in Scotland this year.  A good crowd attended and after a 50/50 split with the Museum,  DDMT has been promised around £800 to the Trust which is a tremendous effort.

Inverness was home to many of the establishments where members of the Special Operations Executive were trained before being parachuted behind enemy lines, and so provided the perfect setting for Gilly to deliver her talk on the brave men and women of Churchill's Secret Army, including her father, Colonel Ernest van Maurik.
