July 2017: Waterloo Uncovered: Veterans dig in to beat Post Traumatic Stress

Waterloo Uncovered is a fantastic charity that combines top international archaeology with soldier and veteran support and recovery.  DDMT were proud to support injured veterans participating in 2015 and proud to do so again in May 2017 when the Trust provided funds to support four WIS on the current expedition to uncover detailed history of the most decisive battle of the 19th Century.  The work of Waterloo Uncovered is fascinating historically but also provides our veterans with important archaeological experience with the added bonus of the possibility of future interest and employment.

Photographs and contemporaneous blogs can be viewed on the Waterloo Uncovered website.  And do read this account in the Saturday Times of 15 July 2017.
