23 June 2019: Cork Iron Man: Four brave participants raised over £8,000 for DDMT and two other charities
On June 23rd in Cork, Tom and Will Willis, Will Hudson and Jeremy Ward embarked on an Ironman; a 3.8 km swim from sandy Claycastle beach, (pulled for safety reasons) then a 180 km bike ride along undulating coastal roads followed by a 42 km "fast and flat" marathon run.
50% of the money raised will be for DDMT. The Trustees are immensely grateful that this monumental challenge will enable them to continue to help people like law student Steph complete her studies so that she can support the family following her Forces' husbands medical discharge, also those veterans and families attending the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham who can stay in the family friendly Fisher House with other Forces families going through similar challenges and so many, many more to be found on our website.
Please do what you can to support the lads. Find their page HERE.
We would love to hear from you if you know of any soldier (whether current or past), family member or any project that might benefit from our help.
