Van for veteran MC starting plumbing business

Donation towards van for start-up plumber and veteran Paul Baines: December 2015

Former Coldstream Guards Warrant Officer Class 2 Paul Baines MC was medically discharged from the Army in 2015.  He embarked on a plumbing apprenticeship but was in desperate need of a van in which to keep and transport his tools.  The Trust was delighted to offer support.

Paul wrote:

"I am so grateful to the DDMT and the Regimental charity for helping me with a grant to purchase a vehicle. I managed to get exactly what I needed and it all worked out that I got it just before Christmas! I have just kitted the inside out and filled it with most of my tools, my first day back at work was on Tuesday. After the disappointment of being discharged from the Army a lot earlier than I expected and spending the last six months preparing to leave, this has been a brilliant way to go into 2016. Thank you to all for making this possible."
